Dollhouse Season 2 Episode 10: The Attic



The Attic is revealed as the heart of the Dollhouse, where Echo, Priya and Anthony are all wiped clean of thought, encased in plastic sheeting, and placed in a glass tub filled with some form of viscous fluid, suspended in a permanent dream-state where they must relive their worst nightmares over and over on a continuous loop. When Echo understands that her fear is what is trapping her, she is able to overcome it…only to meet Laurence Dominic (special guest star Reed Diamond), who is also in control of himself within the Attic. They jump to different minds in an effort to stop a shadow-killer calling himself Arcane, and shortly free Anthony and Priya. Together they find Arcane’s true identity: one of the two founders of Rossum, whose partner turned on him and encased him in the Attic in 1993. The group discovers that the Attic is the horrifying heart of the Rossum conspiracy: everyone in the Attics in Dollhouses worldwide has been turned into a supercomputer that makes up the Rossum mainframe, kept in a permanent state of adrenaline in order to perform at peak efficiency. Echo makes the ultimate sacrifice to free herself, Priya and Anthony, though Dominic and Arcane (A.K.A. Clyde) volunteer to stay behind and try to free the rest of the lost souls trapped in the Attic. Meanwhile, Topher, Boyd and Ivy work to fight back from DeWitt’s seemingly tyrranical reign and make Paul Ballard into a doll himself in order to get his memory back, though in order to do this they had to take something from him (which hasn’t yet been revealed). It is then revealed that DeWitt sent Echo to the Attic in order to retrieve the information on how to stop Rossum, and that it was Caroline who had all of Rossum’s secrets in her brain. Determined to get Caroline back, DeWitt, Ballard, Echo/Caroline, Priya, Boyd, Topher, Ivy and Anthony all agree to work together to defeat Rossum, forever.

Dollhouse Season 2 Episode 9: Stop-Loss



Victor’s contract with the Dollhouse expires, and he is returned to his true personality: Anthony Ceccoli, a former Army Ranger who signed a contract with the Dollhouse to cure him of a severe case of post-traumatic stress disorder. Echo confronts Sierra with the knowledge that Victor will not be coming home, which causes Sierra considerable distress as she declares that Victor “isn’t ready to be alone yet.” Anthony, after restless nights dreaming of Sierra and not being able to sleep in a real bed (wanting instead his sleeping pod), is attacked by a ruthless group of military personnel. When DeWitt passes out drunk at her desk, Boyd engages Echo’s help to track down Anthony, only to discover a new arm in the Rossum conspiracy: they have engaged Anthony as one of many ex-Actives (including some of Anthony’s ex-Army teammates) in a plot to create the perfect team of super-soldiers who all think the same thoughts and share each other’s minds. Echo imprints Sierra with her original personality, Priya, and together they free Anthony, whose love for Priya/Sierra overrides the “group think” of Rossum’s army. DeWitt captures them after their escape and consigns all three of them to the Attic.

Dollhouse Season 2 Episode 8: A Love Supreme



When Echo’s previous romantic engagements begin to surface as murder victims one by one, the Dollhouse fears that Alpha (special guest star Alan Tudyk) may have returned with his murderous obsession with Echo to seek his revenge. DeWitt begins to grow increasingly suspicious of Ballard. Echo, Ballard and Langton recruit Topher into their conspiracy to take down the dollhouse. Alpha shows up in Adelle’s office and reveals that Ballard and Echo were together through those three missing months. Alpha uses a new toy to make the dolls super aggressive against the Dollhouse staff and captures Ballard who he feels is the only real competition he has for Echo’s affections. Topher and Langton manage to restore order with Topher’s new remote wipe technology but not before Alpha imprints himself with Ballard and wipes Ballard’s mind and puts him in a vegetative state. Echo fights Alpha and Ballard’s mind takes over for a moment and begs her to kill him. she is unable and Alpha regains control and escapes again. Echo is seen with Ballard who is on life support machines. The Conspiracy of Four: Echo, Ballard, Langton, and Topher is down to Three.

Dollhouse Season 2 Episode 7: Meet Jane Doe



After her entanglements with Senator Perrin and the D.C. Dollhouse, Echo escapes and finds herself struggling to live within the world at large, After three months go by Echo is revealed to be with Ballard training to take down the Dollhouse. Langton is in contact with them and is part of the conspiracy. Echo as part of her training breaks a girl out of prison who Echo had inadvertently caused to be arrested (before regaining her faculties). Topher unveils remote wipe tech he had been designing to Harding and the Rossum folks as Adelle is kept out of the loop. Topher later reveals to Adelle in confidence that he discovered Rossum’s intent to create a machine to imprint anyone on the street and that he figured out how to build it. Adelle tells him Harding can never know, then she steals the plans and gives them to Harding so she’ll have back control of the Dollhouse. Topher confronts her over her betrayal and their arguement turns very unpleasant for him. Harding notices Sierra and Victor’s grouping and tells Topher to split them up and send Sierra to the new Dollhouse in Dubai when it opens. Echo and Ballard return to Adelle’s distrust.

Dollhouse Season 2 Episode 6: The Left Hand



Echo and Bennett have a shocking meeting as DeWitt goes head-to-head with the cold and ruthless head of the Washington, D.C. Dollhouse, Stewart Lipman (special guest star Ray Wise). Topher involves Victor in his own branch of espionage while Senator Perrin struggles to keep control of his investigation and his witness while a seeming house of cards falls down around him.

Dollhouse Season 2 Episode 5: The Public Eye



United States Senator Daniel Perrin has been trying to bring down the Dollhouse for months, but he has never been a danger – until now, when he comes into possession of a material witness. Echo is sent on assignment to stop him and his witness from exposing the Dollhouse while DeWitt and Topher are sent to the Washington, D.C. Dollhouse to meet the head of the main American house as well as the D.C. branch’s genius programmer, a woman named Bennett Halverson (special guest star Summer Glau), who has a mysterious connection to Echo’s past.
